Description

Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image. The last couple of days have been unpleasantly humid and hot where I live. After just a few minutes of activity, I am soaking wet from sweat. In addition to that, I have a few twinges starting to radiate in my back. So very little has been done on the house project since my recent pause. I did spend a little time with the camera today. I got lucky and found this bold little crab spider almost as soon as I turned my camera on. I spent about thirty minutes watching it hunt and managed to get several shots. This is the first of 3 that I will post. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee

Wonderful. Even more so for me, because I just photographed one of these and I didn't know what kind of spider it was. Woohoo, now I know. Great shot!

Lee, you ought to know by now when the humidity goes up the back goes out. :-) Go slow until it blows through and then make up for lost time. That spider is so very fabulous. I love the eyes and delicate legs. I know how tiny this must be.

Interesting how corrugated the surface of the abdomen is. Our most common one is very smooth. A super shot, which shows the scale beautifully.

The way you have caught it here with it's legs spread out makes it look gigantic Lee. Excellent pov, from here it looks to have ten legs. Lol. Superb shot. Bravo!!!!!
