Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

What a beautiful reflective poem. I could feel your emotions in your words. Your photo fits so well with the poem, Marilyn. I'm happy you had such a wonderful trip, with so many terrific memories.

It sounds very much like you enjoyed your trip across America, all the way to the 'other coast', to the 'other sea'. Also all the things along the way both going and coming back. I am sure your senses are still on overload, your mind on the boil, from all that you have seen and done. No matter how much you have enjoyed this freetime, it's always nice to come home. Wonderful prose as ever, and a beautiful scene to accompany it. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

That's really nice, Marilyn, but imagine if you had to take the trip via covered wagon or stage coach, like in days of old. Now that would have been a long odyssey, both in time and distance.
