morning all :o) can anyone guess what this is a close up of (i know).was playing about outside between the showers and now i know i would really love a true macro lens .the background this is on is a aluminium plate on the wall what my hose fits on ,i just placed the buds against it to see what effect i could get .i liked how it turned out .i know there is a few that love this shrub and its scent me included .i have a shot of this flower taken with my old d40 last year in my gallery :o) have a great day and thanks for looking .take care mick

Great effect Mick, now you know I am not even going to attemp an ident on this, to me it's a plant LOL, this has a wonderful painterly effect, almost oil like!

Great shot and postwork Mick, the old plate in the background gives a great effect too! rain rain rain again, hope it clears up for mine and Jeffs trip.
