Description
Bernarda , an elderly widow, exerts excessive will over her daughters. She is preoccupied with ideas of honour and tradition, and is too proud to see the truth about her own daughters. Portrayed dictatorially within the household, her walking stick is a symbol of the power she holds over the household.
After the death of her second husband, Bernarda imposes a period of mourning on her household that is to last eight years. This mourning period further isolates her 5 daughters, and tension mounts within the household. (extracted from various internet sources).
I tried to create the visual approach of this series by taking Lorca´s own words. He conceived his play as a "photographic documentary". Regarding to colors, "black is mainly associated with Bernarda and all the daughters who wear black throughout the play, except Adela who wears green. Here, white represents sterility while black represents oppression".

Another unique and fascinating work. I love this render, its sharpness and colors. That character is very well done too, her expression, her wrinkles, her fingers. The only minor crit would be that it doesnt seem to me that the light is really coming from the window, it seems more like a spot light that you placed in front of the window. But this is a minor thing, this is an excellent image.
