Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

A sad ending for this wonderful building. Your POV is fabulous, capturing the sunlight on the facade of the building. I suspect if one listened carefully, the sound of happier days might emanate from the remains.

a very sorry sight, helle, but if they want to it can be restored. the lighting in this one certainly adds to the drama.

I hope it is in someway restorable, such a wonderful place yet I can see how this shot makes you sad. Sometime ago I uploaded a similar story of an old Tudor building TONGE HALL in my home town, burnt out and I don't think it will ever be restored to its former glory, nobody willing to raise the money.

Sad story. Do you have picture of this house before the fire ?
helanker
Unfortunately I dont have that. Now I regret, that I didnt take any shots of that before. I have tried to search for it on the internet, but I didnt find any. Sorry.

A sad shot indeed, but in excellent quality. It's a real pity to see this beautiful house in such a bad condition. A case of insurance fraud?

Such a shame that these old buildings with so much charm burn so quickly - but you caught its presence very well - excellent shot

I have seen worse damage than this and still the building was rebuilt. But it depends on the owner...what does it mean to them. Great shot with this evening light smiling on it.

That's too bad! It's such a sad thing when a historical building is lost. Thank you for the photograph!

helle, this is an absolutely gorgeous shot! I know I'm leaving my first comment to something you did a month ago, but god, this is gorgeous. I mean, yes, it's a building in its last throes, and I know how sad that is, I really do; I've been to many places that were torn down and they meant so much to me: But you've given its demise a beautiful song! It looks like late-day lighting which always has a melancholy feeling to it, saturated and bleached and golden. And your detail! I knew you could paint, but I'm discovering your photography now: You've captured such perfect detail for a decaying building. It's so very alive, the debris, the charred windows, etc. It's sad, yes, but you've given it a beautifully photographed eulogy. It's the psalm of a once beloved place, singing to anyone who sees it, before it disappears...a beautiful tribute. Bows.
