Description
This is the poster to our Shakespeare musical sketch. The idea is that the female characters of Shakespearean Tragedies all went to Paradise, and are talking together about their misfortune. The poster is of the whole crew. Actors (Prologue, Waitress, Juliet, Romeo, Desdemona, Othello, Ophilia, Hamlet, Gertrude, Cordilia, Lear, Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth's Witches).. Singers...script writer and of course our backstage crew.
The sketch was a great success, and we are all very proud. I still didn't get the video, but the pics are there if anyone would like to see them, just tell me. Now, I want you all to try and guess who is who... I gave you enough hints by listing the characters, didn't I?
Our Farewell Party is next week, we're doing a play for it too. Our final exams are next month, and then I can proudly, yet sadly think of myself as a graduate and a grown up. I don't think I'm ready for all that, but I'm waiting anyway...
Love,
Nahla

Interesting! Is this for a class, or a public performance? My son loves to act in plays. He does very well at it, too! He fools me enough to think he really is a different person than he is! lol! ;o)

Let's see, now, Nahla. You have definitely set us all a task. My eyesight makes it difficult to make anyone out, but I can see Othello throttling Desdemona. The witches stirring it at the rear, Lady MacBeth looking at a dagger, King Lear getting crowned? Ophelia failing to move the Prince of Denmark, but after that I am a bit lost. It's forty years now since I read my last Shakespeare, excepting Rosencratz or Guildenstern in Hamlet, so I plead old age. I did read all the Bard's plays one long summer holiday, doing all the voices in my mind, imagining various classical and TV actors / actresses doing the parts. As a result I spoke 'pseudo-Shakespeare' for weeks after, much to my twin's and my sister's amusement. My English teacher was never sure whether I was quoting real text, because they sounded so familiar. Now I cannot remember the plots of most of the plays... ;o( My favourite character? In my mid teens, Malvolio who I reckon had a bad press. Nowadays I would identify more with Falstaff, but only because it is some time since I have seen my feet! ... ;o) Good luck and God's blessings, my friend. You are now in the final straight of this, possibly the first of life's big races. I remember feeling very old at my 21st birthday party, by which time I was at teacher training college, after four years at university. I had always thought 21 was old, when I was growing up. Then I had reached it. Keep up the mental and physical training, but enjoy yourself.. Life is too short to worry unnecessarily, my friend. Warm regards from a wet Glasgow, John.

Fantastic shot. It made me giggle out loud, which is always a good thing. I think I found the three witches from Macbeth, but in anything Shakespearean, I look for them, especially since they remind me of the mythical Girae...anyway...I like this photo quite a lot, and since I'm kinda browsing galleries again, I see that I have a TON of catching up to do.
