100 years Old Boats , Harbor Front of Leiden This is a fantastic corner in Leiden were you have a nice few over the water, with the Old Fleet in front of you. The city is in land, and these ships are sailing on rivers and canals. The ships are very well maintained, and are mainly used as floating houses. The boats are approximately 100 years old, and the traditional smell from tar, by the ropes and the water in around these ships in the air and bring you back to 1900!! Leiden is a pretty, little old town in the west part of Holland. There are quite a few canals and the town is decorated with a number of windmills.
