Description
The guará (Eudocimus ruber) it is a bird ciconiforme of the family Threskiornithidae, also known as íbis-scarlet, guará-red, guará-ruby-red and guará-Surinam cherry (of the Tupi, "red bird"). It is considered by many one of the more beautiful Brazilian birds, because of the color of plumage. It is present in Trinidad and Tobago (where it is the national bird) and in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and north coast of Brazil, having isolated groups already told in São Paulo and in Paraná.
