Description
Ok.. yes... it was shot in the zoo, but I was told that this fella is actually a wild heron that comes to the zoo to feed on the fish in the rivers and moats there. So not sure if this can be classed as a zoo shot lol. Ohh thechnicallities !!!!
Anyways... for 3 years I have been trying to capture a herson in our local park, but never with much success so I was fairly happy when this little fella appeared in the monkey paddock and just started fishing. The stance he got there was to ward off one of the baby monkeys that dared come a bit close. He looks like one of the raptors from Jurassic Park lol. Hope you like xxxx

Excellent capture.I must say i am lucky i do see and capture them often at The Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary in Pretoria (South Africa).
