Hi,
First, thanks for checking out my stuff. I'm a native of NW Georgia (USA) and have been into photography since I was old enough to hold a camera (I'm pushing 40 now). I recently graduated to the digital SLR world and have been taking pictures like crazy. I tend to prefer shooting landscapes (especially water related) but also enjoy playing with the more artistic angles.
Resently, one of my pictures, "Foggy morning by the creek", was chosen to be in the "Last Week in the Gallery" over in the forums. ( http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2738900Â )Â I was very excited to see one of my shots had made it concidering all the great work on this site.
Feel free to comment on any picture, or to contact me for info about any of them.
Thanks,
Spike

Absolutely beautiful scene and great shot. I do have one very minor gripe though: I'm not too keen on the placement of the WM. It stands out a little too much. Try and use some transparency on it.

Thanks guys... And Bear, you've got a point there. I was a little rushed last night when preping this for post and thought I was being 'cute' by engraving my name on the tree... Yeah, should have stuck to the corner like I usually do. As for the creek, this WAS a great little stretch. Want a funny about it? We had passed this by and stopped maybe a 1/4 mile up the road before we decided to get pictures. Going to the spot was not problem. However, at this point, we are probably already above 8000ft and I'm not especially in great shape. I fussed and complained all the way back up that short stretch while my friend (who is in better shape) just laughed.

I love the composition and I bet the water is VERY cold and slippery.
