Description

This is a photograph that I took in 2002 during the Nauvoo Temple open house in Nauvoo Illinois. This temple belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The original Nauvoo Temple was finished in 1846, but was later destroyed after the Mormon settlers were driven from the city. This new temple stands on the same ground of the original temple.

Lovely night shot. I like this style of temple better than the main one in Salt Lake City. I imagine they patterened this one after the original in Nauvoo.
