Description

Home-canned green beans. Yummm! I didn't can them myself - they were given to me by a friend. I put these jars up in a South-facing window and let the afternoon sun provide one light source. Lamplight inside the house provided the second source. Then I ate the beans, and boy, were they tasty! :)

You've got my mouth watering. My late son used to call them 'running beans' - I didn't correct him, since it encouraged him to eat them! Great photograph. Mike

beautiful shot, the two light sources combine nicely ... like glowing green beans from Mars, or maybe Chernyoble, hehe -- no offense to the friend who gave you the beanies.

I hope I never can another vegetable as long as I live! I would can so many, even giving them away in bulk I ended up with dozens left on the shelf at the end of the year. I started giving them as Christmas gifts at one point! You've never seen disappointment under the tree like you see when a loved one opens a jar of home-canned tomatoes! LOL But, I gotta say, if I have to look at them, this is the best! Great job.

Oh no, you ate the beans? You couldn't find it deep within yourself to practice enough self control to at least save it for another day? Tsk, tsk, tsk. I assume it was worth it. In any event, superlative POV employed, with excellent clarity, colors, lighting and transparency effects depicted in this wonderful macro, my friend!

Stunningly gorgeous! Your play with the light is excellent, and I love the almost liquid-ness of the glass! Great color too! In short, this image rocks!

I only eat two veggies, thats peas and sweetcorn, and very little of them as well. I do eat hard cabbage, swede and carrots, but they have to be hard, cold, and raw. I have this thing about cooked veg, I hate it. However that does not concern this wonderful image. The lighting is great Tara, I like how the lettering stands out as well, I can't read it all but I can make out it is a wide mouth self seal jar. Excellent capture, I'm so glad you liked them. Bravo!!!!!
