Description

Meekness is that quality that avoids bitterness when disappointment looms. I had installed Victoria 4.2 in DAStudio 2.1 but not in Poser 7 and all I could find in content was some big buttons and her retinue. Then I began picking out some small vivid props from way back in Carrara to send to Poser to give some clutter. I exported a cinder block wall as all the blocks separate from respectively the vertical mortar joints and the horizontal mortar joints just like I would for an animated prop. I wanted to avoid the random regrouping and assignment of textures that .obj especially does to my complex props. First I imported this threepiece into Poser7 and made it cinder blocks the parents of the joints. The renders were interesting and without drama. I considered a sign "No Tire Basura!" on the wall but resisted. Then I moved on to DAZStudio. It had given cinder blocks three textures 0, 1 and 2 apparantly to reflect the fact it was the parnet of the other two object groups which each had a texture 0 of their own. The textures could be assigned separately so I was happy. Except!... where was Victoria 4.2 and her buttons. How was I now confronted with all my Poser directories again and Victoria 4.1 in her residence in Poser 6 whre she was installed last year to avoid the unhappy moments as DAZ deals with being unaware of Poser 7's existence? Well no mind be humble and forget the meekness of Victoria 4.2's installation. Then while trying to get a new light I moved to the Render tab and Oualah! (pronounced 'Walla') Victoria and her buttons appears and where is all the stuff in content? The render window is smaller but everything is there including Victoria 4.1. So put Victoria 4.2 into this new window and her clothes and put her clothes on Victoria 4.1. They fit! Now to Bryce 5.5. Some playing with Bryce lights and I go this result. There are two worlds in DAZStudio separated by a wall. The Load world and the Render world and renders can be done in either. Bryce lights have very different effects on different objects. Trying to get the ground, the wall and it's joints, Victoria 4.1 and Victoria 4.2 all to have the same contrast was not achievable for me yet. So I played with the light edit until I got this nice rosey softened Victoria 4.1 with a square parallel.

... and the meek shall inherit the earth. So that's where I went wrong, eh? I'm a good bricklayer - do you think your ladies need a hand? or two. Mike

the one on the right certainly has some huge clod hoppers.she can stride a puddle with one bound! I was thinking they were shoe shopping until I read your text.I do not have Daz studio installed and doubt I will try to learn.Poser is enough for me.was thinking about Poser pro but then with a larger expenditure of buying a computer I will wait for a better sale price

Yes even within My Vue 6 xStream app I sometimes encounter very odd, texturing issues, such as pixels way to huge, or miss aligned. so I have to manually set the aspect ratio in relation to the render size, and sometimes also need to move lights further away from objects, so the mistakes do not appear as bad :) seems we both run into issues at times. interesting.

What a tangled web we weave when we set out to work in Bryce and Poser. Splendid creation of the objects, especially the well endowed females.

A tale of light and darkness. Who paid the electric company on time? Do the shoes fit the girl or vice versa?

Nice idea. The render could be better in Vue6 Infinite, in my sense ( light and texturing ).
