Description
No information i'm afraid, there were quite a few birds in this enclosure and it just say's European Birds on the map of the Zoo. This wasn't too bad as the mesh was quite large were I took this one from.

I'm sure Danny will know what this is - I can only guess a type of vulture or buzzard by the look of the neck. It doesn't have the bald face I see in our buzzards here so perhaps a very neat and tidy vulture. It has lovely detail and a softness to it with that lovely natural white feather boa around its neck. Excellent shot!

Fantastic results with this one Jeff, far better detail than any of the birds I took, and to say it was through the mesh/netting you got awesome focus here. I love the fluffy almost spikey collar and great expression. Well done sir!

Great capture, Jeff ! I know by myself it is not easy to take great captures at the zoo, but it is a good one. I use going to the zoo very often, when I see something I like I spend a lot of time wating for the right moment and light to take a shot, it is not so easy as many people think !
