Description

This is quite possibly my first, real, digital painting. There is something in her eyes that I was not able to preserve when I did a color version of this portrait - so far, she is my favorite. I made this portrait during week 2 of a Portrait and Figure Painting workshop with Don Seegmiller, over at CG Society. The workshop is almost over now - it has been a terrific learning experience so far. Done in about 3 hours, from a reference photograph (on the side, not using cloning or layers :) ). I will post some of the later pieces in the coming days.
