Description

We bought a real wreath from the cub scouts last year and forgot to take it down. Last week, my wife did take it down and found a nest of eggs on top of it. I leaned it up against a pillar and snapped this picture, then put the wreath back up on the door. I hope the mother bird doesn't abandon the nest. Picture taken with a Casio Exilm EX-Z75 (7.2 Mega-pixel) digital camera. Enjoy! UPDATE: I've been periodically checking the nest. One of the chicks survived and eventually flew away!

My guess is robin's eggs. They used to make nests in our roof gutters every year and I was so sad when my dad cleaned the gutters in the spring and had to remove the nests with eggs. A lovely surprise and a lovely shot.
