Description
Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands is famous of it's city canals. To pass a canal one needs a bridge and Amsterdam has many of them. Almost every bridge is packed with bicycles like the one I show you on the picture. I don't know why that is but it seems every one needs a bridge to get rid of a bike. I don't like that very much, but tha's just me.

I love this composition. The bikes are an interesting contrast to the beautiful building and the life around them. You've done a great job of capturing that sense of life! Great light and color in this image also! Fantastic work.

I find it enchanting. When all you see is bumper to bumper traffic, cars idling loudly, everyone in a hurry...well, something like this is just bliss. Too bad we don't have places where the bikes outnumber the cars. :-)

On my short break in Amsterdam (about 20 years ago!) I thought the bikes were part of the charm of the place, here they would be stolen immediately! An excellent composition, as Chipka says you capture the atmosphere well.

HAHAHA!!!! I like your thoughts about the bikes. Maybe it is because they didnt leave any cycle racks. A very nice capture of city life :)
