Description

I do make ethical decisions to avoid legal confrontations I cannot win. These cinder blocks are Hebner brand and made probably in Jessie Besser molds. The buzz of the shakers that wafted over the block plant stopped in 1951. Hebner got depressed. When his dump truck blew a piston he tore the engine down and filled the cylinder with cement and drove it on seven. What a clatter. My best friend's mother was his bookeeper through a front porch business with her husband the journalism and business teacher at the high school. Sometime in 1953 just after he bought her a new V-8 Buick and took us for a ride she left him and took up with her client. she was a lovely lady and a generous cook. Now my phone wnet silent. I wasn't allowed to talk to my best friend. The mother was shunned by church socials and Canasta players. The father bought a new 1954 Pontiac. It was one of the last things I would see at the big house where we had played "slides and ladders" and Chinese checkers. No more getting out the model Yaks and MIGs of the other side in the Korean War. I was in the house once more in 1967 on a trip back to Michigan from my new home in Californai. By then my mentor had moved in just down the street from his house next to his father's after they both had moved to a farm.

Your trees frieze above the breeze bocks is too much like my blighted palsied face for comfort. She, however, looks very rideable [she - bike? girl? ... your call] Mike

Life is like a shirt button. The more you unbutton it the less you have to worry about the more demanding tasks of the day.

Good old Yankee ingenuity in re the cement cylinder, or shall I say, enginuity? Interesting page out of your autobiography to go along with another fine rendition of Victoria, with her arms akimbo and a bit nonplussed, alongside her motorcycle.
