Description

Another common bird where I live. They have a bad reputation because adults will dive bomb you when they have young but this is just their way of protecting their young. Apart from that, they're quite intelligent and can get very tame-when I was growing up we had one who'd tap on the kitchen window to let you know he was there and wanting a handout. This guy wasn't worried about me--I was fairly close when I took this pic.

Excellent capture, the UK maggies are very nervous, you hardly ever get this kind of shot!

He looks very similar to a bird we had in Utah (when I was a kid) that we called a magpie. I think they are part of the jay family and all of those birds are very smart. This is a super shot! I was never able to get so close to our version.

They appear to be about the size and build of our Magpies only they have yellow on them and a rather long thin tail. They are very personable and can be protective as well. I admire their disposition. :-) This is a great shot and shows a lot about this bird and its manner.
