It's so great to play, especially when the results turn out like this. I love the whole composition, though I have to say the smaller touches are what draw my attention the most, the tabi, the expression on the character's face, the intensity of her gaze! All of it works together beautifully, and though she's wielding swords, I get more of an impression of dance than combat. Maybe it's the elegance of the pose and the rich colors, though there are few reds. At any rate, I like this image quite a lot, especially the shadows on the wall that seem to float, somewhat disconnected from the "reality" of the scene in a way that's incredibly subtle and deliciously playful. This is one of my favorite images.
