Description

Fantasy Roleplaying Game Characters, part III: Sindara 2004 saw the arrival of World of Warcraft and inevitably I was sucked into the biggest online roleplaying game of our time. Sindara was a Night Elf Rogue. Rogues were dual wielding melee classes, the primary damage dealers of World of Warcraft. Rogues came in two varieties; Dagger Rogues who relied on massive damage from surprise attacks like Backstab and Sword Rogues who relied on two very large weapons to destroy their foes. I think you can tell which type Sindara was. ;) The abilities of the Rogue included stealth, the application of various poisons to their weapons, evasion and sprint. However the ultimate trick of the Rogue (and inspiration for the effects in this picture) was the Vanish skill. It required Vanishing Powder and quite literally allowed the Rogue to vanish in a puff of smoke! Dissapearing into the shadows and emerging from thin air without warning, the Rogue was a truly dangerous character (and extremely good fun to play!). Made in DAZ Studio with some postwork in PSP7.
