Description

Would you take my hand? Dance in the moonlight upon a field of spring blossoms? For I feel the need to free my soul from life's dullness... To dance as one, steps following without attempt, so close tonight we seem. Moon the only witness to such delight. Tomorrow will bring again the things this night we do strive to escape, captured once more with the morning light. So let our steps fly. Violets almost uncrushed, so light our toes be upon this night, like a bird awing, so too, will our minds soar. Think not of then, only of now, the dance, the stars, the cool breeze that does caress, making music, sighing thru the trees. Just for us, just for now. For this one night, so like a dream, tomorrow we will think it has been. But for one thing, upon our toes, will be the colors of spring. YZ 03-22-2001

A charming and tender poem to celebrate 100 uploads. It is beautifully contructed: each stanza introduced by a short 'teaser' to draw us into the overall flow. The language is so well-chosen, direct and lightly salted with restrained metaphor. The ending is superb. I truly enjoyed this read ... PLEASE WRITE MORE!!!! Mike
