As they moved into the clearing the big cats made warning snarls, and small faints at us, with their claws. I made ready with my blade. The a soft looting voice filled my head, and the cats moved back, to position themselves on either side of the woman that seemed to just appear in the clearing. �Stay you weapon Slayer, you will have no need of it here, unless you plan me harm?� The voice was almost musical, lyrical, but her mouth did not move. �I kill only that which means to kills me.� The man returned. �Then peace between us Dark Heart. If my friends wanted you dead, I could not have stopped them. They feel no real menace in you. Come set awhile take a break from your trek, and speak to this lonely woman for a spell.� �You have me at a disadvantage you seem to know me; you are familiar in ways yet strange in others.
