My name is Dottie. I am now among the millions of retirees across our great land. I am still a part of female population of the home workforce. My gainful employment ended with my retirement after 28 years with a national non-profit organization. My interest in photography began in earnest with the arrival of my three grandsons. As they were becoming teenagers my interest turned to travel and flowers. I think what success I have can be attributed to luck and my choice of a camera. I appreciate and learn from everyone's comments and I thank you.

Beautiful capture! We used to have white and purple Rose of Sharon peeking over the fence from our neighbor's yard. I loved them! But the neighbor decided to remove the trees.

Very nice capture. We have a white one growing, but our old horse just loves the buds and new leaves, alas no flowers again last season. Great work.
