Thank you both for posting dogwood flowers which I had never seen before. Here's a magnolia blossom taken in England a few weeks ago. It looks vaguely similar to me.

Great macro, Rozanne. I love flowers. but cannot name many of them. I know which are not for weeding. This I like a lot. There are no magnolia up here ( well maybe in the Botanic Gardens ;o) ) but the apple blossom is in full flow. One morning soon we will wake up to that Maytime miracle, 'spring snow' where much of the blossoms will have fallen during the night, leaving drifts of white petals under the trees.
