Description

Im going to change my theme today ... just for a change .. I have to run to the Dr's right now ... As you know I feed the kittens at the Humane Society every day but yesterday one of the Mama kitties decided she didnt want her kittens taken ...so she decided to CHOMP down on my hand instead .... right on a vein and bone ,man that hurt so bad that my hand shook .. Cat bites are notorious for infections right away in less then 24 hours with something called Pastuerella ..and it can get really bad .... you really should get antibiotics right away ( like the same day ) but the Dr's office was closed when I wanted to go last night ...so I must go now ... its swollen & red and so painful like you would not believe.. those feline teeth are very sharp and go deeper then you think ..bacteria go in as soon as they bite usually .. but those are the hazards of working with animals now isnt it ! They will bite to protect their young !! anyway you all have a great day .. cya later thanks for looking and commenting :)

I once tried to catch 3 feral kittens about 6 weeks old and I now know better... :-) I draw back two shreaded arms! Oh! that was painful for 3 days! I love that nose on this shot. Too adorable.

Hope everything turned out alright for your hand, Lu. A friend of mine was bitten many years ago and his hand did get infected and was swollen to twice its normal size. Turns out, he required intra-veinus medication for a week.
