i was going to try to look this bird up but have no time . I was trying for the past 30 mimutes to upload a diff image too but it would not go. let see if this one upload

An excellent specimen Jocko and a great capture, I don't mind seeing them on here, I just don't want them in my back yard, I have some expensive Koi and I don't want to feed them to herons. lol. This guy looks like he is posing for you. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

I'm jelous, this bird looks very much like our Nankeen Night Herons, I have been able to get some photos of them but they are very timid and I as yet have not been able to get very close..Yet!!Lovly photo..
