BIO
For the longest time, I've been fascinated by the image of humans in art. I spent two years at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and I think I was the only student who really enjoyed Survey. I never studied digital art formally, which is a good thing, in my opinion. However, much of my study into classical art has found its way here. Of course, I don't flatter myself by comparing with the works of Bernini (who would have definitely been rendering had he lived during this time), because I'm only using the human models someone else has already conveniently created for me.

very nice face texture.

Yes I love that texture also. The hair is cool too but well... I dunno it just doesn't look like it fits on the head but then again it is an afro.

Wowwowwow!!!! What an incredible portrait! This is so realistic! What texture is that? And is the hair a model or a photo? Very impressive!

Thanks! I appreciate the compliments. This overall work was a study of African ethnic anthropology. The texture started out as that one that Wolfrose posted ("Serenity" and/or "Death"), which was originally created by someone else, I think. However, I customized it and created a bump map to go along with it, after spending a good while researching African (specifically Ugandan) women. The hair is a combination of a model and some tedious post work. I notice that this piece isn't very popular with the viewing public, and I'm a little disappointed by that, since it is my personal favorite out of all the works I've done. I think that people of color are pretty starkly underrepresented among the artwork here (unless you count green, purple, etc..), and while it isn't my intent to make a political statement or anything that complicated, I really wanted to do venture into this realm a little deeper than I might normally to see if I could make something compelling, and I'm quite satisfied with the result. Anyway, didn't mean to ramble like that, but I learned a lot from the modeling and texturing of this piece, so it's special to me.

A lovely portrait! Great job on the character, and nicely lit and rendered image...

Very gracefull and elegant figure and yes with her long neck and elongated and loveyly face she looks very much a Ugandan. PS the hair is super!

I think the character and texture are fantastic and I hope to see more of her in the future. It is obvious that you invested a lot of research and modelling work, which is very much appreciated. As for the presentation, I think some regions, as for example the left side of her face appear rather dark and flat and need a little more light. I would try two lights from the back, left and right, to give more volume to the outline. Finally, regarding popularity, I've noticed that of my images those which are much commented on aren't always those which get the most hits. As I can never tell what the silent viewer really thinks, I came to appreciate the comments more than the hits.

This is an absolutely gorgeous image, she reminds me of Alek Wek the model. The lighting on the skin and bumping just is so great and stand out.

Fantastic! It is wonderful to see such a great image of a woman of color here. It is really rare to see any, let alone one as nice as this. Don't be disappointed by the number of viewings ... I'm sure you know as well as we what makes an image get a lot of viewings.

You are an amazing artist! This looks like a photograph, great work!

so weird, i was sure i had commented on this!... anyway, i think this is one of the most beautiful images i've seen in the Poser gallery. she has so much character and life and elegance. the pose and the facial structure are fantastic. there are minor faults in the body texture (hand seams and such), but it's really so minor and her face is so striking that you just forget everything else. :)

First trip to your gallery...it won't be the last! In your latest images I spent a lot of time looking at your references of your pictorial descriptions, so I got my mental as well as visual stimulation. In your earlier works I was amazed and inspired by your terrific talent for textures and the figures you created. I have thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours I have been imersed in this pleasant diversion to my otherwise quite boring day. Your work is something to look forward to with anticipation. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us. This is my favorite out of all, flaws and all, as she is a remarkable and delightful character in her own right and your posing is superb. I'd love to see what you can accomplish now if you revistited her...
