A life steeped in grand architecture.
Well I was born in the City of Cambridge more years ago than I will confess to. I grew up surrounded by grand buildings, took it all for granted, except when I visited other places and found them somewhat 'bare'. Twenty-two years ago I and my family left Cambrige and 'defected' to Oxford - heh - at least I can't lose in the boat race :)
The surroundings seeped into me and made for an interest in how buildings were put together - however none of this was really know to me on a concious level until I began to model. Originally that modeling was related to Games Workdshop games (my kids have a lot to answer for) in the Warhammer Universe. Over the years it transformed to 3D and became an even more expensive hobby. Oh, us boys and our toys!
By training I was first a scientist and technologist, then involved in the commercial world, and now due to health issues I move on once more.
I think this may be the most enjoyable re-invention of all though :)!

Nice first render. It's also good to hear someone say they like LW because it does what it says. That's my biggest problem with some of the other software out there. Pagrin :-)

Keep doing what you're doing!.....Lightwave is definitely a proven program. I remember seeing at the end of the credits on the syndicated science fiction program, 'Babylon 5', that they used Lightwave exclusively on a Mac platform for all of the effects and models...(ships and such).
