Description
After countless tries of achieving a half way realistic studio-portrait light in Vue 6 I ended up with this light study (hence the title).
Pretty pleased with the outcome, since this is my first real work with Vue 6 xtream.
I'm pretty impressed by how well Poser stuff is being imported and well rendered, even with GI and AO turned on.
There sure is more to come.
Thanks for stopping by
Have a great weekend everybody !

@ bitnaut: Sure: I started off with a fairly basic atmosphere, which included AO and GI. Against a studio backdrop-like prop. However, this didn't turn out perfectly enough and didn't bring out, neither the facial features, nor the hair good enough to achieve "almost realism". I then added a classic studio light in form of 4 studio lights. 1.)A key light, coming from the left, defining the general tone of the image. 2.) A fill light coming from the right 3.) A back light to illuminate the backdrop 4.) A light placed above the figure to bring out the hair. That's pretty much about it. Lights 1, 2 and 4 were traditional "soft boxes" Whereas light 3 was set to "area light". Total render time was about 5 hours. regards ! - Noel
