Description

This F-117 is being refueled somewhere over the US Southwest. The Lockheed-Martin F-117A 'Nighthawk' was developed by Lockheed's famous 'Skunk Works'. It is the first operational aircraft designed to exploit low-observable stealth technology. It is subsonic and carries all armanent internally. It is designed to deflect radar and the exhaust from the two engines is dispersed and deflected to lower the infrared signature. The aircraft primarily operate at night during combat operations. They were successfully used during Desert Storm, in Bosnia and again in Iraq in 2003. This picture was taken in 1998 and later scanned. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my previous uploads.

An exceptional POV of a fanominal aircraft and the refueling process. The extention of the boom into the receptical of the F117 shows there is an extreme amount of precision in the manuvering of both aircraft. In addition, only the select few know what "ARIZ ANG" stands for and can be a member of that fine organization.
