Super image! I love the colors and the mix of calm and tense--at least that's how I see it, as the sinuous shape in the left background reminds me of an approaching tornado...The whole image is quite soothing and I love the sense of color and the overall visual texture.

Sublime: each zone is separate and yet each bleeds as if bu gravity into the layer below. I read it as Chipka did - as a tornado seeking to be earthed Perhaps that's a little fanciful, but the shapes and movements themselves are story enough to take my mind on a journey. Mike

I love going barefoot. There is something very nurturing about feeling the earth in direct contact with my feet. Like setting down roots in rich soil. Grounding. Shoes unground me. I love digging in the garden, the one time when centipedes don't freak me out, when spiders are beautiful, when even slugs have a use .. my goldfish LOVE slugs. The earth is so nurturing as it touches my hands. Gloves unground me. And some day, it's soft darkness will blanket me, and I will be well grounded, nurturing the earth. That's provided my progeny can find a "green cemetary" to lay me to rest in. And then all those little white grubs will help me become the earth again. Grins. I love this "painting".

it's an overview of people in southeast asia wearing those round woven hats. they're going down rows of crops stretching off into the distance with the sun coming round the side of the mountain on the top right in watercolors if i were collecting individual images as favorites this one would be one of them
