I couldn't make up my mind re:the "genre"
it's really not a holiday it is celebrated but oh well,it is my illustration of a great day to remember a person who may be gone,and one who is still around watever the case my be she is loved and always will be :I sure miss mine that's for sure:Have a great one:hugs ))I'm going to brunch with my three sons,and grandsons,they never forget mom I'm a lucky :thanks!

I feel left out. I tend to favor the Day of Holy conception over either birthdays or Mother's Day. It has a Josephine flair to it. Being left out is a matter of great joy on that day.

Excellent image Evie. Very elaborate and elegant. We took Mom out for Lobster as she wished for. I've never had lobster before.. Wish I had had the steak now, like my brother..lol. I mean it was ok, but don't see the big deal about lobster. My Mom, Brother and Marlene were all there. Red Lobster.. long line on Mothers day.. Mom & Marlene loved it and that's what was important.
