Description

Near Jupiter is often the most energy-efficient point to redirect the orbit of comets with the right amounts of water and other volatiles for the resource hungry industries of the Belt. The job of prospecting the orbiting icebergs falls to a group known as "the Water Witches", known for their almost magical powers for detecting water. This nucleus has all split from the stress of Jupiter's tidal pull. Here, at the last possible moment, with the comet nucleus all ready beginning to outgas and form a tail, two Witches survey the sublimating primordial ice for chemical treasure. This one is a real mash-up.Jupiter and foreground terrain was rendered in Bryce, the figures were done in Daz/Studio and a lot of fog effects were done in Photoshop CS. I painted the Jupiter texture in Photoshop. The Water Witches' suits are a combination of Sanctum Art's GRIM armor and Uzilite's Major Cache. Thanks for taking a look. -Tom

Nicely done. The verticality of the scene works well and it's another creative use of components.

A seamless integration of elements, very effective. Vertical aspect gives it a book cover look.
