Description

Where fog goes, I go! And please, you gotta look at this full size for major impact. The Interstate 5 Freeway, a major arterial link traversing the West Coast of the United States, beginning/ending at the Mexican border and ending/beginning at the Canadian border (British Columbia). Captured 3/6/08, around 6:55 AM, exactly .65 miles/1.046 kilometers from my daunting domicile. Rather than posting the usual rose for such a milestone occasion, I thought I'd give you a treat with these awesome scenes of traffic emerging from, and disappearing into, the early morning mist. The top view is looking southeast, and the bottom is looking northwest. Thanks for stopping by, and have a superlatively superb Saturday!

Impressive shots. What a miserable sight for the drivers. Anyhow, they can't drive fast.

Fascinating capture Harry. One side goes into the "unknown" while the other side "made" it safely. Great mood with a fog I love to drive in a fog, sometimes realy a challenge to make it without trouble.

Congratulations on your 700th "goodoleboy" (goodoldboy) upload, my amigo querido! I'm liking these freeway shots, and find your celebratory choice to be perfectly appropriate. I don't know what I'm finding so compelling about these images, but they're marvellous! Love the fog.

I still am rewiring the Golden West to San Francisco bypassing the 101 and forking off from the Santa Ana. The griffins in front of the old Firestone facility trap the gaze right as Calcomp and it's plotters go by on the left. Finally I rememeber the San Diego was the 405!! And the San Gabriel was the 605. the Long Beach was the (two digit state road) and the Riverside was the 91. That leaves the Harbor and the Santa Monica unaccounted for. Isn't the Santa Monica the 10? The 8 is going East from San Diego.

Treacherous but also a component of being mystical (pardon the pun) not knowing what lies ahead. Congratulations on your 700th upload, now for the next 700!
