I agree the nick name should raise some eyebrows...lol Well this illustration is following the reoccuring themes that I have seen in German WWII propaganda illustrations. Attack, after attack and rest. This is the aftermath. The time to gloat over the vanquished victim. The mighty Royal Navy. It could be the aftermath of a successful attack and a after mission report for Dornitz and the boys. Make one or two passes for the flag and than get back to your French harbors and chill with a glass of wine and a dame. It also has what I like to think is the feel of 40's airbrush illustration. I had a airbrush instructor who worked for the aircraft industry during the war and this guy had the technique down. thanks to all for your comments. It really helps!!

Well done. The WW1 era ship sinking is a great touch too. An old slow boat caught unable to handle the newer faster threat
