My name is Barbara and I'm retired and live in Hillsboro, Oregon. I'm a SNOB - a member of the Society of Native Oregon Born. I've lived in Oregon for almost my entire 65 years. The exception is the 18 month stint in Kansas while my husband got his Masters Degree at Kansas State.Â
I have a Canon SD200 and have only been taking pictures for the last couple of years. I got the camera so I could take pictures of my four grandsons, but I then discovered that I like taking pictures of other things as well. So it has been a fun two years of taking pictures.
Being a Grandma is the best thing ever.  My four grandsons are Jon who is 21 and has Cystic Fibrosis and is also a cancer survivor. His brother, Brad, is 15 and lives 7 minutes away. Joey is 11 and his brother Tim is 8, and they live in Portland, 40 minutes away.Â

I love lupins, except that my mother-in-law insists that I keep all the tiny seeds in autumn, to use for the next year. She likes to have banks of flowers but attracts so many wild birds to her garden that she has thousands of 'naturally' planted species, making it difficult to keep to a 'regimented' theme... ;O) I saw a garden in Dennistoun, Glasgow, Scotland, where I live that looked much the same as this, a couple of years ago. It is on the brow of a hill, but has a sheltered garden. I only saw it because I was travelling in a coach and was high up. Warm regards, John.
