Description
Model composited on photo I took from Maalaea Harbor. The sun position is noon because I wanted this scene to depict a particular "flight" departing Maalaea Harbor, Maui bound for Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The noon sun doen't make for good lighting unfortunately. I was pleased however that the plane under the boat blended well with the background photo and that the slight transparency made the submerged bow foil show. The splashes are painted alpha planes. The bow wave still looked artificial so a little spray was added in post. Check out the links for more info.
