My name? Eric den Biesen, a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I'm 46 years young, though I sometimes feel MUCH older. I generally like to model in trueSpace, though I'm learning Carrara and Hexagon as well. Not much free time for it, so anything I'm building progresses REAL slowly. :( I like to illustrate my tales of the Imperium with Poser and/or Bryce, or that story's prequel, Siren's Song, the story of the Human/Mer first Contact. Neither story is more than outline, and bits are told through the pics I do. And because it's fun, of course. :)

Stonemason did the 'Darkplaces: Sewers' prop, but I found that using Xero's Lithograph filter on one of the layers, with grittiness set to about 10, and the blend set to overlay, added even more rough texture to the stone and her clothing as well. Shadow Dancer textures are from Motif here at the MP. :)

Overall, it's a really wonderful portrait piece. Texture on that left pipe looks messed up...seam showing. If you're using Poser, that's an easy fix in the material room by using a procedural. You really ought to do some of your own materials to put your own stamp on YOUR stuff. The character and scene look really good. If you're using Photoshop--modify those textures and bump maps and stuff to make them you own. That's what I do. Find your own style and OWN it. You do REALLY good stuff, but by modifying or even making your own textures you can grab the piece and shape it to more your vision. (It saves a LOT on postwork! LOLOLOL I'm one who knows! ^__^)
