Description

The African Fish Eagle is by far my most favourite bird - not necessarily because of its looks, but because of its very distinct call. There is nothing quite like being next to a water hole in one of the game reserves at sunset and hearing the call of one of these beauties. Just the thought gives me goosebumps!! I caught this one with its prey. I find the image quite busy, however, getting a shot like this is very rare. We had a long debate whether it is a fish or some rodent that he is busy eating.
