ALBA, DUTCHMAN TROUSERS (what’s in a name) There not only tulips in this garden of Eden, found these unkempt, normally red and pink colored beauties shadowed underneath some bushes. In Dutch “broken hearts’ but he’s white, and hearts must be red isn’t it? Dicentra spectabilis also known as Venus's car, bleeding heart, Dutchman’s trousers, or lyre flower, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to eastern Asia from Siberia south to Japan.
