Dewey Hotel Museum, Dewey, OK 74029
Period furnishings, glassware, clothing and rare photographs of early day life of the area are displayed in this restored Victorian Hotel. Jacob H. Bartles, pioneer farmer, rancher, business and civic leader of Washington County, began construction of the Dewey Hotel in 1899. The building was completed in May 1900. The Dewey Hotel played a pivotal role in the early economic and social history of the area.

Thanks for your information, very interesting! I wish everybody here would give some explanations.... 1988 till 1900? In my mind i thought this house was some decades older. It looks so lightweighting (and elegant, too). Houses here in Berlin from around 1900 look like castles and are heavy as castles.....LOL Thanks for sharing!
