Description

Good news, no tornadoes in this one. Lots of rain, wind and hail but nothing overly damaging (except the nerves). I shot this with my camera in sepia mode. I liked the ominous feel it gave and the contrast in light and cloud. Thanks for all the comments on last two uploads and especially the ones who seemed concerned about my safety. Trust me, I am not a storm chaser. I just had my camera ready when the storm found me.

Indeed, and exquisite scene! The mood and atmosphere is perfectly described in your single word "ominous". This would be nerve-wracking..... I can just imagine! I love the capture though, in spite of the cautionary look of it. Excellent capture!

That sepia tone certainly does make it more ominous. Great shot.

Great capture, and nice use of sepia toning. We had quite the tornadic summer here on Long Island - 4 events all told. Climate change?
