Description

I took a trip to Idaho back in 1994, to a little town called Grangeville. It's located near the beautiful and pristine Snake River, right about where the state lines of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho meet. This photo is typical of the land out there. And it goes on like this for hundreds of miles. This photo was shot with a Pentax K1000 on Kodak 100 Gold, with a Sigma 28-70mm lens. Since I don't have a scanner, I took a photograph of the print with my digital camera, then cleaned it up in the Gimp.

Beautiful shot! Now let me get this right...you took a digital shot of the print? Then cleaned it up...? Great result! :-)>

Yup :-) The blurring of the foreground trees was caused by wind that day (at ~5000 ft ASL it's always windy!). The biggest problem I had in making this copy was lighting the print evenly w/o reflected glare. Notice the top of the image is a bit dark. This is due to uneven lighting.
