I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

If ever I'd get lost there I'd know this is 34th, lol. Very creative composition adding the lamp posts.

The effect of the near silhouetted lamp-posts is to highlight the beautifully crisp view of the building itself agaimst a clear blue sky. Excellent, my dear Carin! Hugs, Mike xx

Fantastic capture; I love the crispness of it and the lively sense of color. Great POV, especially with the gracefully curved street lamp providing excellent visual contrast.

It just isn't the same since King Kong died... :-( But this is probably the best look at it that I've seen since his untimely death. :-) Really great shot!

The Empire State Building, that grand old lady, most notably known as King Kong's last refuge against those Army biplanes that finally terminated the life of that awesome beast as he hung on to protect his lady love, Miss Ann Morrow. Stellar POV, colors, clarity, detail and geometry in this terrific capture, Carin!
