I was born in the flat lands of Kansas in a family of nine. My love of images started when I was 11 in the mid60s and my mom brought home a box full of Life and Look mags. Being the middle child, withdrawn and depressed. I took these images, cut them up made collages to express myself. My Art form begain and so too my love of Photography. I still make Collages from found objects. But once I got my computer I turned to 3D Art. Then replace my old SLR with a digital and here I am. I now live on a small Island in the Puget Sounds. With my husband and two cats and a menagerie of wild life.

It's quite evident once one knows what to look for. Well spotted and composed Bonita. It's very well presented too.

I'd not heard of this terminology before, but it sure makes sense in light of your wonderful photograph. : )

Oh Bonita!! This is AWESOME!! I've seen this in some our forests, too. There's a section of forest near us that's mostly all old growth forest, never harvested because it's in an area that loggers can't get to. That's where I've seen this kind of thing before. Never knew what it was called .. now I do, grins.
