Description
The clouds of fruit flies were just one of the unusual photographic hazards that presented themselves as I spent 25 glorious minutes in such a content rich environment. There was also the sweet smell of decaying fruit, and the way that as I gingerly clambered around the mounds of tomatoes in search of another angle, I would occasionally sink past my ankles into the semi-solid squelching morass of softly exploding red organs. One must learn to sink evenly on both feet so as to maintain one's balance and thus preserve the clarity of the lens.

Glad you protected the lens ... I'm not so sure I'd have braved all those flies and goo to get this shot. Excellent work!
