I would have gotten out my watchmaker's toolkit and fixed the thing right then and there, but hey, that's the difference between us. When you look at this (heck, all your work for that matter) every little detail, nuance, expression, character, body language - everything, is committed to telling the story. Amazing.

LOL, who has uncle dave wrapped around her little finger? what a great story and image--they show what a truly wonderful, caring person you are! super detail in your image all the way down to the batteries in veronica's hand--had a good laugh seeing the two older sisters in the background, both looking so smug conveying the message "finally, that darn doll is dead"...but little aschlynn's expression of both desperation and sadness really steals the show!

Nice job with those mean older sisters, they look like nasty twelve year old girls. And Aschlynn really does look like her world just came to an end with poor Cindy in a kind of coma. It was very good of you to restore your niece's faith in people. But what's up with Veronica? Just because you are a guy you can fix stuff. That's rather shaky logic to be imparting on her youngest. Fortunately for me, my niece's favourite toy was a simple stuffed Snoopy doll she called 'Snee'. No fixing required. Other kids had a blanket, my niece ported Snee under her arm - everywhere. But in spite of all the abuse a loving toddler could do to a plush toy, the only problem Snee ever had was the need for an occasional 'bath'. "But nobody else has bath in the laundry machine", my niece once protested to my sister - once she was old enough to string a few words together.

Spanish: Realmente trabajo en imágenes para mis amigos pero mi hermana Veronica insistió fijo esta imagen que hice para ella un rato atrás. Esta historia pasó un rato atrás y sólo dije a un par de amigos sobre ello e hice esta imagen para mi hermana Veronica. Estoy seguro que muchos de ustedes pueden estar relacionados con este y han sido por ello ustedes mismos. Cindy Won Habla (Para la Verónica): Un rato atrás esto era casi el tiempo para la cama cuando fui saludado por el sonido de mi dos Jade de sobrinas más viejo y Jaylinn riendo tontamente y risas como loco. Después vi a mi hermana Veronica conducir a mi sobrina más joven Aschlynn hacia mí. Los rasgones hacían rodar abajo su cara, ella trataba de formarse para dirigirse a mí y agarraba su carro favorito en su mano. ¿Veronica dijo (Tío David pienso que Aschlynn tiene algo que le gustaría decirle) Mi corazón literalmente entró en mi estómago como sus pequeños ojos tristes buscados en mí y ella logró arrancar a la fuerza las palabras (Conversación de Cindy Won, puede usted fijar a su Tío David?) Veronica me dijo que las nuevas baterías no ayudaron, pero ser un tipo tuve que darle un intento yo mismo. Aww, this is a touching story. I work with children and get those looks you were talking about that just makes you want to make everything alright. You have such a big heart. Those girls are so lucky to have such a great uncle. I am sure they know that. Wonderful image Dave! Thanks so much for sharing. I still have to write to you, will do that soon. Awww this is so tender dear Dave, you are such a family orientated person and so kind. Wish I had an uncle like you when I was a child. I remember how important a favourite doll was to a small girl, and how distressing it is if they get broken. When I was just a wee small child, I remember there was a doll's hospital not far from my home, and I would go on the bus with my Mum whenever my dolls needed fixing - Alas the hospital is no longer there:o( As always Dave you capture the heart of the onlooker with your amazing detailed compositions, transporting us back to our childhood days, and the expressions are priceless on all your characters. hugs Jane xx
