Description

Taken in Cave Springs, Ga, just a little ways past the duck in yesterday's post. This was such a neat little spring pouring out of the side of the hill. The main spring (and cave) are just behind me. The water is so pure coming from here that you could stick a cup under the little fall and drink it. I have another, darker, more moody shot of this, but I like decided on this one for a couple reasons. You can see inside the small opening, which is very cool. The water sparkles as it flows into the pond. The greens of the moss and clover were so vibrant, especially against the backdrop of the rock and winter leaves. Finally, the slit in the rock face is very interesting. I wonder just how it got there? Was there a lot more water gushing from this small hole at one point? Who knows... Thanks for stopping by and looking. This picture is really best viewed full size. Comments are welcome and appreciated. Spike

Nice shot. Vibrant color. I wonder about the striations in the rock that's close to where the water is coming out. On a side note: I despise people that want to despoil beautiful scenery with their desire to paint graffiti on rocks. What's up with that?? Is it their pitiful and futile attempt at achieving some sort of immortality?? Sorry, my rant of the day. ;)

Well captured detail! It seems your pic may be more thought provoking than you imagined, here's my 2c worth: I have been watching things in nature over the years and was amazed by the "human aspects" or similarities in the past, this is no exception without getting into too much detail, precious to say the least.
