Description

The Hakalau Bay area was eventually donated to the County, making it accessible to visitors, surfers and fisherman. Here is what's left of the sugar mill walls decorated with vegetation and graffiti. Aloha and thank you for viewing

No smell of the sugar. But when rough seas comes, a reminder of the sugarcane comes washing up on shore. Aloha

It's good to know nature can reclaim part of man's legacy - which is not alwasy kind to the environment!

Ah, now I know where this is; I recognize the bridge. I love this place; it's such a lush and beautiful little valley. Thanks for the reminder.

With little effort, the land might reclaim this... Very nice spot but sad what is done to the ruins.

The graffiti in the jungle look is just a touch odd. Great juxtaposition. :)

As isolated as this place is, it's amazing kids would carry spray paint that far to paint this wall...must be really nothing to do in this town. Great spot to sit and watch the waves roll in....thanks for taking me back again. Aloha~

This is the best of your series in my opinion. Ruins and your sort of tropical plants creat a very special atmosphere. and the graffiti is a good part of it.
